Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American writer, singer and actress well known for her role as Ginger Grant in the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s she began her career as an actress on stage in Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. Then, she appeared on Broadway for a number of productions until 1957 when Li'l Abner made it huge at the National Theater. In the same year, she released Her first album of music It's the Time for Tina. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood playing Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre a drama film released 1958.The film received a lot of praise and Louise won an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. As an undergraduate at Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Another notable character she portrayed in the role of Ginger Grant, which CBS hired her to play in the year 1964. Louise was a success in Hollywood and Broadway, playing somber characters to counter her image of the glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Sanctuary however she also established herself as an effective television director in numerous series, including Supernatural as well as The 100. She was born in Essex on August 28th 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was three and she continued to live there throughout growing up and in adolescence. She settled in Vancouver following her selection to play Samantha Carter.
